Hello!

I'm Ryan. I'm an audio/technical producer and presenter based out of Dorset, with over ten years of experience in the radio and audio industry. I can currently be found producing the technical side of National Radio Stations TalkSPORT and Times Radio, as well as broadcasting weekly on the Hope FM Breakfast Show in and around the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole conurbation as well as online.  I am a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a love of all things audio. A Bournemouth University graduate with a degree in Radio Production I also produced and co-presented award-winning comedic music and talk show “Chalk and Cheese” which aired on a weekly basis on the student radio station as well as being converted into a podcast.

A selection of clips highlighting a variety of Ryan's work as both a Presenter and Producer from different projects and broadcasts.   Beginning with “Play that Tune” a feature from Chalk and Cheese. The game requires guests to guess the song that's being played on a Kazoo.  Next is a selection from Ryan's University graduate project A Series of Unusual Events where he speaks to participants at the UK Wife Carrying Championships followed by a game of Pooh Sticks with the organisers of the World Pooh Stick Championships.  Next during the Covid-19 Pandemic Ryan spoke to various community guests including Paul Kinvig the Chief Operating Officer for the Bournemouth Town Centre Bid.  In this interview, they discuss the mandatory introduction of face masks and the return to the high street.    There are also further clips from Chalk and Cheese including a game highlighting the difference between American and UK cultures.  Also featured is a challenge featured on the Hope FM Breakfast Show, this particular challenge involved a song being reversed and listeners being encouraged to contact the programme with their guesses for the song.

Best Of - Chalk and Cheese

Clips from the award-winning programme "Chalk and cheese" which aired weekly on Nerve Radio. The show was a light-hearted comedic music and talk show which contained a variety of quirky and highly developed thought out features such as ‘Play that Tune’ a game which involved guests coming in and playing a variety of songs on a kazoo with everyone else having to guess what the song is. The programme featured a variety of ‘cheese’ music and was also selected to feature several times as a slot at the student nightclub during several student radio takeover events as well as the end of year student festival “Summer Ball” playing a selection of the songs featured on the show.  The show went onto win an award for Best Entertainment Show.
